Colocating with us is easy, because we do most of the work. You don't even have to stop by our datacenter to set things up -- just ship the equipment and we'll set it up. We generally setup equipment within a couple of hours from the moment we receive it to minimize downtime. All our contracts and agreements are electronic, so there is no need for ink signatures, scanning, faxing or emailing.
Setup steps:
1. Go to our configuration wizard or pick our monthly promo and let us know what equipment you'd like to host with us. Promo packages are fully customizable and, as long as you don't buy less than the promo value, you still get the full discount!
2. Get equipment insurance. Equipment insurance is your responsibility. Even as our company adheres to the highest standards of security and service we are not liable for any kind of damage and/or loss during equipment transportation and during the time the equipment is being hosted with us.
3. Ship the equipment to our Rantoul, IL datacenter.
Signature will be required. You will beresponsible for any return handling and shipping charges. Include an inventory list in the package.
4. We receive and direct to proper data center.
5. We unpack, photograph and inventory your equipment and serial numbers.
6. We rackmount your equipment.
7. We give you full remote access to your equipment (KVM-over-IP, Power, Serial)
8. We provide you the new IP addresses.
9. Change the IP addresses and DNS records of your servers/devices to the new addresses. We can do that too if we get your approval to do so.
10. You're done!
