Recently, Rantoul Press published an article in the newspaper about our third facility, the Rantoul Business Center (RBC) and spread awareness locally. Dave Hinton, interviewed Justin Hill, Prominic’s Chief Technical officer, and Kyle Coey, Chief Compliance Officer. Various aspects of the project such as the idea behind the third data center, regulatory policies, and the networking capabilities were discussed in the 30 minute interview. Our Business and Sales Development manager, Robert Nagel co-ordinated the event with Dave, the journalist to make it a success.
I feel great to be part of such a project, where you can see immediate progress as a result of your efforts. I, along with my team, started the Rantoul data center design project in August 2018. We received a large number of requests for housing power intensive GPU servers, cryptocurrency miners, and blade servers for the deep learning and artificial intelligence applications.
Keeping up with the trends of the data center market, we planned the Rantoul Business Center data center to be a spacious facility, capable of handling high power requirements, high speed interconnectivity to Chicago with major internet providers such as AT&T, Sprint, Mediacom, Volo and Pavlov media with the least delay. Additionally, we are making sure to comply by the Tier III requirements of a data center, as documented by Uptime Institute. The team is designing a concurrently maintainable site infrastructure with N+1 minimum capacity components to support IT load, an active and alternate power distribution paths, and two simultaneously active critical power distribution paths.
Our goal is to get the RBC data center up and running by March 2019. Our mission is to help business focus on their actual products and services, by eliminating the work and worry of in-house server maintenance. We are open to inquiries from small and large enterprises to colocate their servers in a powerful and secured environment.
